Wholesale meat distributors, Molla & Brothers supply quality chilled goods to convenience stores and retail outlets across  using their fleet of refrigerated vehicles. As part of the company’s business expansion plan and having recently won a large contract to operate as distribution agents for an international dairy Grosery Products, there was an immediate requirement to introduce a mobile sales solution to automate processes and to manage the van sales dimension of their business.
The introduction of the M-POS system will empower Neil McMullan Ltd’s van sales team to manage their sales, recording all in-field activity onto handheld computers. Proof of delivery will be recorded with customer signatures being captured on Motorola ES400 handheld devices. The only printed document will be the customer’s invoice, printed by the mobile worker using a belt-mounted printer.
M-POS will be used to automate all previously manual processes, managing outbound telesales, customer profiles and pricelists and monitoring and maximising stock. With full integration to their existing Sage 50 ERP system, M-POS will deliver significant time and cost reductions and will improve the overall consistency of service across the organisation, creating an almost paperless order-to-invoice process. What’s more, the management team will have far greater business insight with detailed management reporting and greater levels of transparency, plus full accountability for the mobile workers.

Phase two of the implementation may involve the introduction of the RMLive Module providing the office team at with real-time visibility of all in-field activity and transactions including completed orders, delivery progress vs. schedule and alerts for missed, incomplete and failed deliveries.
